Kosovo commemorates the 27th anniversary of Bahri Fazliu’s heroic death in Montenegro, honoring his legacy as a fighter, editor, and revolutionary.
On this day, 27 years ago, Bahri Fazliu fell heroically in Bogiqe, Montenegro, during the struggle for Kosovo’s liberation.
A committed member of the National Movement for the Liberation of Kosovo (LKÇK) and a fighter in the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), Fazliu dedicated his life to the cause of national freedom. For several years, he lived in secrecy, operating underground, and served as the editor-in-chief of the publication “Çlirimi” (Liberation), the voice of the movement.
Bahri Fazliu was the brother of Fahri Fazliu, himself a national hero who fell alongside Afrim Zhitia in a legendary battle with Serbian police on November 2, 1989, in the “Bregu i Diellit” neighborhood of Pristina.
