Following the 35th failed attempt to constitute the Assembly of Kosovo, a heated exchange took place in the courtyard of the Assembly between Vetëvendosje MP Agim Bahtiri and LDK MP Armend Zemaj.
Upon exiting the Assembly building, Bahtiri questioned Zemaj about his presence at the session, criticizing him and his party for not participating in the voting process.
“It’s a shame when you come but don’t vote. Otherwise, why are you here? It’s wrong. Tell us the reasons why you come but don’t take part in the vote,” Bahtiri stated.
Zemaj fired back, asserting that the responsibility to elect the Speaker lies with Vetëvendosje, the party that won the most votes in the last elections.
“Step aside, it’s not about pride. Learn democracy, not autocracy,” responded the LDK deputy.
