Hykmete Bajrami, MP from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), reacted strongly after the Kosovo Competition Authority (KCA) refused an invitation to a meeting..

The former Finance Minister called the Authority’s response unbelievable, noting that the KCA is avoiding the Parliament by citing the law, which according to her, requires them to respond to the Assembly of Kosovo.

Bajrami clarified that the invitation was not for a meeting at LDK’s office but at the Parliament, where all parties are invited to account to the deputies and citizens.

In a Facebook post, Bajrami shared two key questions she planned to ask at the meeting:

  • Does KESCO hold a dominant position in the energy market?
  • Has the Competition Authority conducted an assessment of market competition in cooperation with the Energy Regulatory Office (ZRRE), as required by the Electricity Law?
