The Minister for State Relations with Parliament, Taulant Balla, has called for the European Union to open negotiations for Kosovo’s membership in the institution.
He spoke at the two-day conference organized by the Socialists and Democrats Group in the European Parliament in Brussels, discussing the Willy Brandt Program for EU Enlargement, where he declared that Albania will join the EU by 2030.
Balla stated that Kosovo deserves the opening of negotiations, as does North Macedonia.
“We would very much like every country to start negotiations. Also, Kosovo deserves to start negotiations as soon as possible – as soon as you can. And we very much want North Macedonia to start negotiations too,” said Balla, as reported by ATSH.
