The next court hearing for the “Banjska” case is scheduled to take place today at the Basic Court in Prishtina.

This trial concerns the terrorist attack of September 24, 2023, in which Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed. Three of the accused, Blagoje Spasojević, Vladimir Tolić, and Dušan Maksimović, are currently facing the court. They are among a total of 45 individuals accused in connection with the attack, led by the alleged mastermind Milan Radoičić. The charges against them include terrorist acts.

During the last judicial review session, all three accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In addition to these three, 42 other accused individuals, including Milan Radoičić, who publicly admitted to leading the Banjska attack, remain at large. On September 11, 2024, the Special Prosecution of Kosovo filed an indictment against these 45 individuals, accusing them of terrorism, financing terrorism, and other serious criminal offenses.

Kosovo authorities have requested the extradition of Milan Radoičić and other accused individuals for the terrorist attack in Banjska, Zveçan, but this has not yet occurred. They are currently wanted by INTERPOL, and international pressure has been exerted on Serbia to hand over Radoičić and the other alleged criminals to the justice system of the Republic of Kosovo.

Court sessions for the “Banjska” case are scheduled for June 9, 11, and 12, starting at 9:30 AM.
