Despite having a star-studded squad, Barcelona looks to strengthen even further. The “Catalans” have long been struggling with financial issues, making it difficult to sign players. However, this hasn’t stopped them from eyeing free transfers.
Arsenal’s “destroyer” Thomas Partey and Lille’s “bomber” Jonathan David are on Barcelona’s radar, with the club’s sporting director, Portuguese legend Deco, already in negotiations to bring them in for free once their contracts expire at the end of this season.
Regarding the feasibility of these transfers, Partey has fallen out of favor at Arsenal and is now a bench player. It is believed that he is seeking a new challenge, despite Mikel Arteta’s attempts to keep him in London during the summer transfer window.
On the other hand, Jonathan David seems ready for the “big move” in his career. The Canadian striker has informed Lille that he will leave as a free agent at the end of the season. So far, he has scored 9 goals and provided 2 assists in 11 appearances this season.
