Barcelona triumphed 3-1 over Deportivo Alaves, reclaiming the top spot in La Liga, at least temporarily, and marking their eighth win in the last nine encounters against the Basque side.

Alaves shocked the Catalans early, with Pablo Ibáñez scoring from a corner following a defensive error. However, Barcelona responded swiftly, with Raphinha assisting Lamine Yamal to equalize. Soon after, Dani Olmo put Barcelona ahead with a goal from a fast counterattack, again assisted by Raphinha.

Despite hitting the post and several saves by Alaves goalkeeper Sivera, Barcelona controlled the game in the first half. In the second half, the team maintained pressure, with Marcus Rashford adding intensity to the attack and Pedri improving midfield control after coming on.

As Alaves pushed for an equalizer, Dani Olmo sealed the victory with his second goal, finalizing the 3-1 result.

With this win, Barcelona records four consecutive league victories and stays close to Real Madrid, who have played one game fewer. Meanwhile, Alaves suffers their fifth away defeat of the season.
