Barduani meets North Macedonia’s Defense Minister, discuss security – dialogue also mentioned

Today, North Macedonia’s Defense Minister, Vlado Misajllovski, held a meeting with KFOR Commander in Kosovo, Major General Enrico Barduani, to discuss the role and importance of the mission in strengthening security and stability in Kosovo and the region.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the meeting highlighted KFOR’s ongoing contribution to ensuring a safe environment for all communities in Kosovo.

“This NATO mission is extremely important for a more stable and secure region. We remain committed to our contribution to KFOR and the logistical support we provide to this mission in the future,” Minister Misajllovski said during the meeting.

He also emphasized the importance of a secure region in times of serious geopolitical challenges and instability, noting that North Macedonia will continue to be a pillar of security in the Balkans.

Considering that General Barduani’s mandate as KFOR Commander is coming to an end soon, the minister thanked him for the excellent cooperation and coordination regarding North Macedonia’s contingent in the mission.

For his part, General Barduani praised the high professionalism and dedication of North Macedonian soldiers, who carry out their duties and responsibilities every day with full commitment.

During the visit, General Barduani also met with the Chief of General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafçiski.
