Negotiations for Granit Xhaka’s potential move to AC Milan appear to be progressing, with a preliminary personal agreement reportedly reached between the Swiss midfielder and the Italian club. The contract is said to be for three years, with an annual salary of €4 million.
Milan’s initial offer to Bayer Leverkusen is valued at €10 million, but according to Corriere dello Sport, the German club is demanding €15 million to release Xhaka a notable increase from the Rossoneri’s original bid.
Leverkusen is reluctant to incur a financial loss, having signed Xhaka from Arsenal for €23 million just last year. The club now aims to maximize the midfielder’s resale value to cover their previous investment.
Xhaka was a key figure in Leverkusen’s historic Bundesliga-winning season under Xabi Alonso, and his leadership and consistency remain valued — making him a potentially significant acquisition for Milan’s midfield overhaul.
