RKS NEWS has learned that the Mayor of Mitrovica and PDK’s candidate for Prime Minister, Bedri Hamza, has just concluded a meeting at the White House in Washington DC.
According to sources, Hamza had a high-level meeting within the White House with President Biden’s Special Assistant, who is also the Senior Director for Europe at the National Security Council, Ambassador Michael Carpenter.
Hamza is one of the few Kosovar politicians to have been welcomed at the White House for an extended period.
The Special Assistant to President Biden also serves as one of the leaders of the NSC, or National Security Council, which is the top American institution for national security issues. Ambassador Carpenter has previously served as the head of the U.S. mission to the OSCE.
