Begaj Meets with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State: U.S. a Strategic Partner and Historic Friendly Nation

President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, held a meeting with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau. Through a Facebook post, Begaj expressed gratitude for U.S. support in judicial reform, democratic development, institutional strengthening, as well as in defense and security sectors.

“A fruitful meeting with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau. I valued the U.S. as a historic friendly nation, strategic partner, a strong NATO ally, and an irreplaceable actor for developments in our region,” Begaj said.

He thanked the U.S. for backing reforms and expressed confidence that more American investments will come to Albania, particularly in tourism, energy, defense, and cybersecurity sectors.
