The President of AKR, Behgjet Pacolli, responded following reports of a visit to the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama.
According to local media, Pacolli was allegedly in negotiations to join the Rama government, which he denied, reports Rks News.
His full statement:
“It is unfair to create stories based on insinuations. The article published by Kapitali is as distorted as it is unjust.
Together with the director of Mabco, the majority concessionaire of Vlorë Airport, we visited the Prime Minister’s office purely for an official meeting, where we provided updates on the progress of the works at Vlorë Airport.
It is completely untrue and inaccurate to claim that there was any pressure or request for government involvement, as some media have reported.
In fact, as the airport enters a new phase of professional development, Mabco has begun an internal reorganization process related solely to the normal management of the project.”
