On Monday, Belgium expressed “deep concern” over repeated Israeli strikes and incursions in Syria, emphasizing that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria must be respected.

In a post on the social media platform X, the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that ongoing attacks, including reports of civilian casualties in Beit Jin, escalate tensions and threaten regional security.

“Sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria must be respected,” the ministry stated.

Since the collapse of the Bashar al-Assad regime in late 2024, Israel has expanded its control over the Syrian Golan Heights, taking over the demilitarized zone—a move that violates the 1974 agreement with Syria and raises serious concerns about regional law and order.
