The leader of the Partia Demokratike e Shqipërisë, Sali Berisha, has officially announced the date of the next nationwide protest, calling on party structures and supporters across the country to mobilize.
In a message addressed to senior party officials, local branch leaders, members of parliament, and supporters, Berisha praised what he described as a new political victory achieved on February 20, urging members to intensify their efforts on the ground in preparation for the upcoming demonstration.
He confirmed that the next national protest is scheduled for February 28, which he characterized as the next step in what he called a “peaceful uprising.” According to the message, party members are encouraged to begin immediate outreach efforts in neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities to ensure a large turnout.
Berisha emphasized that the momentum created by recent political developments should be used to strengthen mobilization efforts and expand public participation in the protest movement.
The announcement signals an escalation of political activity and opposition mobilization in Albania, as the Democratic Party prepares for another major public demonstration in the coming days.
