Florian Binaj will be the candidate supported by the Democratic Party (PD) for the upcoming extraordinary municipal elections in Tirana.
In a statement to the media from the PD headquarters, party leader Sali Berisha announced Binaj’s candidacy, describing him as an artist devoted to defending citizens’ causes.
“I am here today to inform you and the citizens of Tirana, as well as all Albanians, that among the many excellent candidacies received directly from PD leaders and personalities—already made public—for whom I have the utmost respect, and among the independent figures from various fields in Albania and the diaspora, the Democratic Party, while gratefully thanking all those who offered their candidacy in service to Tirana’s citizens and in facing the evil represented by Edi Rama, informs that the group mandated by PD will present to our allies the proposal to jointly support the renowned artist, distinguished cultural figure, tireless fighter for citizens’ causes, and talented communicator, Mr. Florjan Binaj,” Berisha stated.
