Sali Berisha, leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, has announced a new opposition protest scheduled for March 22 in Tirana, urging supporters from across the country to gather in the capital.
Speaking outside the party’s headquarters, Berisha called on opposition supporters to continue what he described as a “peaceful uprising” until achieving a final political victory.
“On March 22, all of Albania in Tirana. All of Tirana in the streets. Let us continue our peaceful uprising until the final victory. Victory, victory, victory!” Berisha declared.
The protest is expected to bring together supporters of the opposition from across Albania, as political tensions between the government and opposition parties remain high.
Berisha’s announcement signals continued mobilization by the opposition, which has been organizing demonstrations to challenge the current political leadership and demand political change.
