The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has announced that the opposition will organize another protest on March 12, calling on citizens to gather in front of the Parliament building in Tirana.

Speaking during a public address with supporters in Durrës, Berisha urged broad participation in the demonstration, describing it as a decisive moment for the opposition.

“Now is the time for protest. Everyone in protest on March 12. Everyone in front of the Parliament, because it is the trial of Edi Rama and Balluku,” Berisha stated, according to reports.

The protest is expected to be the next major mobilization by the opposition, following the demonstration held on February 28, which was marked by significant tensions and clashes.

During that protest, incidents included the use of Molotov cocktails and an attack on the former villa of Enver Hoxha, an event that triggered strong reactions in the public and political sphere.

The upcoming rally comes amid ongoing political tensions between the opposition and the government led by Prime Minister Edi Rama. Authorities have not yet issued detailed statements regarding security measures or the expected scale of the demonstration.
