The Democratic Party announced that it will submit to the Constitutional Court the decree of President Bajram Begaj appointing Diella as Minister of State for Innovation and Public Administration, as well as today’s parliamentary decision amending the rules of procedure, which was approved solely by the majority.
During a meeting of the party’s parliamentary group, Sali Berisha accused the President of a serious constitutional violation, describing the decree as “unprecedented.”
“We must urgently send this decree to the Constitutional Court. We are dealing with people irresponsible for their duties, ready to sign anything. This cannot happen. I don’t believe any other dictator has ever had such destructive power over the head of state,” Berisha stated.
