The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, addressed the media on Tuesday from the party’s headquarters, following the dispersal of protesters by police forces.

Berisha strongly condemned the actions of the police during the protest, describing officers as “bandits and criminals in uniform” who, according to him, attacked citizens.

He emphasized that the restraint and courage shown by peaceful protesters are far more powerful than any act of violence exercised against them.

According to Berisha, the patience and composure demonstrated by citizens should not be interpreted as weakness, but rather as determination to achieve their goals. “Provocateurs may receive the lesson they deserve,” he stated, while thanking citizens for their participation and peaceful conduct during the protest.

In the same statement, the Democratic Party leader announced that the next protest will take place on February 20, signaling the continuation of the opposition’s actions against the government.
