As part of the Kosovo Cultural Week in Berlin, which will be held from June 9–17, 2025, a powerful and timely exhibition will be opened, shedding light on the war crimes, massacres, and acts of genocide committed by Serbian police and military forces during the 1998–1999 war in Kosovo.
Invited by the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Berlin, the NGO “For New Life Kosovo” in collaboration with KKAFZHK will present the exhibition titled:
“Reflections of Massacres, Crimes, and Genocide by Serbian Forces During the Last War in Kosovo.”
The exhibition, based on photographic documentation, aims to raise awareness about the atrocities committed during the war, with a particular focus on highlighting the fate of forcibly disappeared persons and supporting the preparation of a Genocide Lawsuit against the Serbian state for crimes committed during the Kosovo war.
“Our core mission is to visually represent these crimes through photo exhibitions in major European and global centers,” say the organizers. The exhibition will also be accompanied by the promotion of books by Bardhyl Mahmuti and Nusret Pllana, titled “War Crimes 1998–1999,” and will include meetings with international politicians and influential figures. These efforts aim to advance the international legal and political process toward justice and recognition of the genocide.
