Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, has been on an official visit to the United States.
He announced that he held several meetings during his visit, including at the White House and the U.S. Department of State.
“At the U.S. Department of State and the White House, we met with the Director for Central and Southern Europe, Colleen Hyland, and the Senior Director for Europe at the National Security Council of the Biden administration, Ambassador Michael Carpenter,” Bislimi wrote on Facebook.
He further mentioned that he also participated in an event organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Albania to mark the 112th anniversary of Albania’s independence and the 80th anniversary of its liberation. During this event, he met with the Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Western Balkans from the U.S. Department of State, Alexander Kasanof, as well as ambassadors, diplomats, and the Albanian diaspora in the United States.
