Bexhet Xheladini, the newly elected mayor of Dragash, has emerged as the candidate with the most diaspora votes in the second round of Kosovo’s local elections.
Xheladini, representing the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), secured a total of 873 votes from the diaspora, outperforming candidates from 17 other municipalities that participated in the runoff held on November 9.
According to the centralized results of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Xheladini collected 59.19% of the total votes in Dragash, defeating his opponent Shaban Shabani of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK).
