U.S. President Joe Biden, who recently announced his withdrawal from the election race, will focus on geopolitical issues – Ukraine and the Middle East – until the end of his term.

According to the Financial Times, one of Biden’s main priorities will be ensuring maximum support for Ukraine if Donald Trump wins the presidential election in November. Trump has already promised to halt military aid to Ukraine if it does not negotiate with Russia.

At the same time, U.S. officials and analysts believe it is unlikely that the Biden administration will secure another aid package approved by Congress before the end of his term.

However, Biden himself will be able to finalize bilateral agreements with Ukraine and ensure any available aid to Kyiv before his presidency ends, says the Financial Times.

Another focus for Biden in the next six months will be the Middle East, with an emphasis on ending the war between Israel and Hamas, notes the Financial Times.

As reported by Ukrinform, President Biden announced on July 21 that he would not participate in the election race.
