The Islamic Community of Kosovo (BIK) has announced a press conference today in response to allegations of misusing hundreds of thousands of euros from the Council of the Islamic Community in Pristina.
The conference is scheduled for 11:00 AM at the offices of the Council of the Islamic Community in Pristina (KBI).
BIK Rejects Accusations
In an official statement, BIK strongly denied any misuse of funds, emphasizing that its efforts focus on fighting unlawful activities rather than engaging in them.
“For the sake of informing believers, we affirm that there has been no misuse within the Islamic Community. Instead, we are actively combating illegal activities. Through this media call, we aim to publicly address misleading reports and disinformation, particularly those spread by a former treasurer of the BR,” stated BIK.
What to Expect from the Press Conference
BIK is expected to provide further clarification on the accusations and offer evidence or explanations to counter the claims. The conference will likely address:
- Details regarding the financial management of BIK
- The source of allegations and the former treasurer’s claims
- BIK’s stance on accountability and transparency
This event is set to attract public and media attention, as the credibility of one of Kosovo’s most influential religious institutions is at stake.
