During the Christmas reception in Kosovo, Bishop Dodë Gjergji delivered a powerful message of peace and love. He urged all baptized individuals to become bearers of love and peace, emphasizing the importance of fostering harmony and hope among people.
He reflected on the teachings of Saint Francis and Saint Mother Teresa, calling on all people to love one another and all creatures, as Christ loves us. “We must be the ‘leaven’ that preserves peace and love in our days,” stated Bishop Gjergji.
Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani also extended Christmas greetings, highlighting the power of hope and the importance of appreciating those around us, especially those in need.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti remarked that the promise of Jesus fills us with hope, even in difficult times, and he praised Saint Mother Teresa for spreading joy during the hardest of days. He called on everyone to embrace the spirit of Christmas by supporting one another and standing against the oppression of society’s most vulnerable.
Kosovo’s Deputy Speaker, Enver Hoxha, expressed that Christmas is a unifying celebration for all Albanians, transcending religious differences, and he joined the festivities to wish his fellow citizens peace and joy.
