Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, during his visit to Budapest, was invited to the Hungarian Institute of International Affairs (HIIA), where he lectured and engaged in discussions with institute representatives, international affairs experts, and students.
The Office of the Prime Minister stated that during his introductory speech, Bislimi mentioned the decrease in unemployment rates in the country as well as economic growth.
He expressed that the ongoing population registration process is crucial for providing accurate data.
Bislimi also emphasized the importance of Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe.
“He also mentioned the achievement of visa liberalization, the application for EU membership in December 2022, as well as the country’s objectives in the European integration process on the eve of Hungary’s upcoming Presidency of the EU Council, the importance of enlargement and the EU Growth Plan, our efforts and work in this direction, as well as the significance of Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe.”
“Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi sincerely thanked all participants for their interest in learning more about the situation in the country, the challenges Kosovo faces, and our objectives for the future. Before the start of the discussion session, Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi was warmly welcomed to the meeting by the director of this institute, Gladden Pappin,” the media communication further stated.
