Bislimi Meets Bundestag Member Adis Ahmetović to Discuss EU Integration and Council of Europe Membership

During the final meeting of his official visit to Berlin, Kosovo’s Acting First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development, and Dialogue, Besnik Bislimi, held discussions with Bundestag member Adis Ahmetović, focusing on Kosovo’s European trajectory and its bid for membership in the Council of Europe.

According to the official statement, European integration and Kosovo’s progress toward joining the Council of Europe were central points in the meeting, with Bislimi underscoring the need for Kosovo to advance decisively in both processes.

The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted Kosovo’s position as a success story in the region, emphasizing the country’s young population, rapid economic growth, and stable development path.

“He also spoke about Kosovo as a success story — a young country with fast and sustainable economic growth,” the statement noted.

Bislimi expressed strong appreciation for Ahmetović’s continuous support for Kosovo, particularly regarding key political and diplomatic processes.

“The Deputy Prime Minister conveyed his gratitude to MP Ahmetović for his support to Kosovo and for his advocacy in crucial processes for our country,” the communication stated.

The meeting reaffirmed the importance of Germany’s role as one of Kosovo’s most influential partners in its Euro-Atlantic path and strengthened the dialogue between Prishtina and Berlin.
