The First Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development, and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, met today with the Italian Ambassador to Kosovo, Antonello De Riu.
During the meeting, discussions focused on bilateral relations and opportunities for further strengthening them.
Kosovo’s European integration was also a key topic, with the Deputy Prime Minister emphasizing the country’s commitment within the Growth Plan and the importance of progressing with Kosovo’s application for European Union membership.
The announcement further stated that the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the need for the removal of the EU’s punitive measures against Kosovo, which continue to be unjust and remain in place despite the conclusion by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, in his report, recommending the removal of these measures.
