The Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) has announced that power generation Block B2 has returned to operation following the completion of repair and rehabilitation works.
According to KEK, the unit was successfully started and synchronized with the electricity grid at approximately 20:26, ensuring the continuity of production and the stability of Kosovo’s power system.
“This result demonstrates KEK J.S.C.’s commitment to the safe, efficient, and sustainable operation of its generation capacities, as well as the capability of its technical and management teams to carry out preventive interventions and necessary repairs within optimal timeframes,” the statement said.
Despite the return of Block B2 to service, the country experienced electricity reductions earlier in the day, highlighting ongoing challenges in the energy sector.
