U.S. officials are preparing for a possible attack on Iran in the coming days, Bloomberg has reported, citing well-informed, unnamed sources.

These sources indicated that diplomatic discussions are ongoing, including a planned meeting of the foreign ministers of the United Kingdom, France, and Germany with their Iranian counterpart in Geneva on Friday.

Some sources suggested that a U.S. attack on Iran could potentially be carried out over the weekend.

“Senior officials in several federal agencies have also begun preparing for an attack,” one source stated.

U.S. President Donald Trump publicly discussed a possible attack on Iran on Wednesday, stating he has “ideas what to do.” Hours earlier, when asked if an attack on Iran was approaching, he said: “Maybe I’ll do it. Maybe I won’t do it,” Al Jazeera reports.
