Serbian basketball star Bogdan Bogdanović, captain of the national team, has publicly condemned the disgusting provocations aimed at Dijana Hrka, the mother whose child was killed in the collapse of the Novi Sad railway station canopy — a tragedy born from corruption, negligence, and government incompetence.
Bogdanović’s message, shared on Instagram, is not just a call for empathy — it’s a quiet but powerful accusation against the regime that has created a culture of mockery, cruelty, and moral decay.
“When someone mocks another’s pain, it shows not strength but emptiness. A mother who lost her child has every right to raise her voice, and we must support her. Even if we cannot understand, the least we can do as humans is to remain respectfully silent. A mother’s pain should NEVER be a subject of ridicule — it’s a test of our humanity,” wrote Bogdanović.
