The border crossing between Kosovo and North Macedonia at Hani i Elezit has officially reopened, following a temporary closure earlier today due to a fire in the area.
The Center for Border Management confirmed the reopening, stating that traffic for all vehicles is now allowed in both directions. However, the Customs Terminal remains closed for freight transport, and vehicle circulation for goods remains suspended.
“We inform you that the border is now open for all vehicle traffic in both entry and exit directions. However, the Customs Terminal remains closed for freight vehicles. We will provide updates as more information becomes available,” the announcement read.
The crossing point was closed for approximately three hours as a safety precaution due to the proximity of the fire.
