Border Police Seize Smuggled Goods from Vehicle Entering Kosovo Illegally

The Task Force unit of the Kosovo Border Police has intercepted a vehicle with Serbian license plates that entered the territory of Kosovo illegally, authorities confirmed.

After tracking the vehicle, police stopped it along the Bujanoc–Gjilan road. During the inspection, officers discovered a significant quantity of smuggled goods.

The driver, identified by the initials H.L., a 35-year-old Albanian citizen of Serbia, was found transporting electronic vaping devices without any accompanying documentation.

The confiscated items included:

  • 50 units of CROWN Bar
  • 120 units of VOZOL
  • 100 units of AIRMEZ Fox
  • 5 additional VOZOL units

Total: 275 units

According to market estimates (excluding customs duties and excise taxes), the total value of the seized goods is approximately €5,325.

The merchandise has been confiscated and will be handed over to Kosovo Customs for further legal procedures.

Following consultation with the relevant prosecutor, the suspect was released under regular procedure, while the case continues.

Authorities emphasized their ongoing commitment to combating smuggling and illegal activities that harm the country’s economy and citizens, reaffirming their determination to strengthen border control and enforcement efforts.
