Boris Tadić, leader of the Social Democratic Party (SDS), has expressed support for a proposal by Dragan Đilas to bring together all opposition actors for coordinated action ahead of upcoming elections in Serbia.

In a post on social media platform X, Tadić emphasized the importance of unity among anti-government forces, stating that he fully supports the idea of a joint meeting to agree on coordinated activities. He noted that he has consistently advocated for such cooperation and welcomed the fact that other opposition figures are now calling for dialogue and joint action.

Tadić described the moment as critical, warning that reaching an agreement is a matter of responsibility in the face of what he called a serious threat to the country’s future. He stressed that internal divisions must be set aside, as they remain the main obstacle to electoral success.

Đilas, leader of the Freedom and Justice Party (SSP), also underlined the importance of unity, stating that it is crucial for all opposition actors to engage in dialogue and agree on future steps aimed at challenging the ruling Serbian Progressive Party and President Aleksandar Vučić.

He added that creating synergy among opposition groups would be essential for achieving political change and strengthening democratic processes in the country.
