Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik is absolutely thrilled about the recent visit of CIA Director William Burns to Bosnia and Herzegovina According to Dodik, the visit was such a high-profile event that it can only mean one thing: he’s apparently the only serious political figure in the country.
“Last night, I was chatting with a diplomat and I heard something really interesting,” Dodik mused. “I’ve been reading for days that Mr. Burns came to Bosnia and Herzegovina to deliver a message to me. The CIA Director isn’t just a mailman delivering letters. No, he’s a very serious official who only sends messages to very serious people. And guess what? I must be the only serious political figure in Bosnia and Herzegovina!” Dodik declared, as if he had just been crowned the political heavyweight champion.
