With wide regional and European participation, the 2025 Brezovica Economic Forum, organized by the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with WB6 CIF, concluded successfully.
The event was recognized as one of the most significant economic forums in the region, highlighting the potential of the Western Balkans as a strategic space for investments and long-term economic cooperation.
Held in Brezovica, a location of special historical and symbolic significance, the forum brought together senior representatives from European and regional institutions, including EUROCHAMBRES, the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) from Sarajevo, as well as delegations from the chambers of commerce and businesses of the six Western Balkan economies.
“Balkans as Opportunity” was the central theme of the discussions, emphasizing the necessity of creating a more economically integrated region, open to investments and oriented towards competitive growth. Participants highlighted that, in the context of closer ties with the European Union, the Western Balkans is at a critical moment to strengthen economic cooperation, innovation, and cross-border partnerships.
A key contribution to the discussions came from the Central Bank of Kosovo, particularly regarding the modernization of the financial system and the creation of a more inclusive and diversified financial ecosystem for the region.
“This forum has been an exceptional day to promote Kosovo and the region. Brezovica has proven to be a unique platform to discuss the real potential and concrete steps for the Balkans,” stated Mr. Lulzim Rafuna, President of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce.
The forum was supported by key partners: Banka Ekonomike, Siguria, Regional Challenges Fund, and HBC Coca Cola, all of whom played an important role in the success of this year’s edition.
Based on the outcomes of this edition, the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce and WB6 CIF confirmed that the Brezovica Economic Forum will continue as an annual event. The next edition, Brezovica Economic Forum 2026, aims to expand participation and address even more strategic topics, creating a sustainable platform for a more integrated and competitive economic future in the Western Balkans.
