The United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, completed a symbolic climb to the summit of Bistra (2,651m) alongside members of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) who trained in the UK, as well as British soldiers currently serving in Kosovo.
This was the seventh peak climbed by Ambassador Hargreaves as part of the “20 Peaks of Kosovo” (#Kosovo20PeaksChallenge) initiative, which promotes Kosovo’s natural beauty and international cooperation.
“A truly enjoyable day climbing Bistra (2,651m)… It was a pleasure to join KSF members and the British team in Kosovo. A fantastic way to finish the week following Dr. Dorian Minors’ academic contribution from Sandhurst on KSF leadership training,” Hargreaves wrote on social media.
The climb also symbolizes the strengthening of relations between the two military forces and the United Kingdom’s support for the professional development of the KSF.
