In an exclusive interview with Klan Kosova, British Ambassador to Kosovo Jonathan Hargreaves revealed the surprises the UK Embassy has prepared for attendees at this year’s Sunny Hill Festival, describing the event as the pinnacle of cooperation between Kosovo and the United Kingdom.
“We’ve certainly worked with Sunny Hill for some time now, and for me, Sunny Hill is the culmination of co-creation and collaboration between the UK and Kosovo. Naturally, Dua Lipa is the favorite daughter of both the UK and Kosovo—we both consider her our own, and we’re both incredibly proud of her. She has become a symbol of our partnership,” said Hargreaves.
He praised the festival, organized annually by Dua Lipa and her father, Dukagjin Lipa, calling it “a magnificent event,” adding that they are especially proud of the many British artists participating this year.
“It will be a fantastic festival, rich with British content, but more importantly, a genuine demonstration of the creativity we share—reflecting all the creative work being done between Kosovo and the United Kingdom,” he said.
Hargreaves also shared some of the interactive experiences the British Embassy is bringing to the festival. “There will be British touches throughout Sunny Hill,” he explained, noting that one area of the festival grounds will feature an authentic British pub, where guests can relax, sit down, and enjoy a beer.
“There will also be a photo booth, where visitors can take pictures and have them printed instantly, creating the sense that a piece of the United Kingdom lives in the corner of Sunny Hill,” the ambassador added.
