The British Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, participated in events marking the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict.

Speaking before the attendees, Hargreaves expressed solidarity with all survivors and reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s support for the campaign “Trauma Has No Deadline,” reports Rks News.

“I feel honored and humbled to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict here in Kosovo.

I stand in solidarity with all the brave and resilient survivors, and I reaffirm the United Kingdom’s support for the campaign ‘Trauma Has No Deadline.’ No one should be forced to come forward and tell their story within a fixed timeframe. Instead, they should be given the time and space they need to heal. And we must remain committed to never judging survivors: the blame and shame belong to the perpetrators of this horrific weapon of war, which continues to be used in conflicts around the world today,” the British ambassador stated.
