British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer stated today that the ceasefire between Iran and Israel “must be respected.”
“This is an opportunity to ensure much-needed stability in the Middle East. Iran must never be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon, and it must now return to the negotiating table and work towards a sustainable solution,” he posted on X.
Starmer added, “This is the message I am discussing with other leaders at NATO today,” referring to the ongoing NATO summit in the Netherlands. Earlier in the day, Starmer mentioned that he had spoken with the Emir of Qatar regarding the Iranian attack on the American base.
