Mihailo Brkić, former ambassador and vice president of the Serbia Center (Srce), warned that if investigations reveal Belgrade’s involvement in the 2020 U.S. election fraud, the consequences could be severe.
Brkić noted that President Donald Trump is expected to push for results from investigations into alleged irregularities during his first term and actions between 2021–2025, including any potential “Belgrade connections”.
He emphasized that Trump distinguishes between Serbia as a country and its current government, citing prior incidents like the “General Staff” case.
