European Union spokesperson Peter Stano reiterated today that any decision regarding the reopening of the Iber Bridge must be made within the framework of the EU-mediated dialogue.
In a statement to the media, Stano emphasized that the issue of reopening the Ibar Bridge is closely tied to the dialogue process and that any action in this regard must be a result of discussions in Brussels. He clarified that this stance is part of the EU’s policy to ensure that agreements reached within the framework of the dialogue are properly implemented.
“Our overall position is that agreements reached within the dialogue framework must be implemented. Every step and action should be resolved and discussed within the dialogue. The matter of reopening the Ibar Bridge is a matter of dialogue. Any decision to open it must be made through dialogue,” Stano said.
Stano’s remarks come amid ongoing discussions about the status of the Iber Bridge, a key link for cross-border connectivity in the region. These comments underscore the EU’s commitment to maintaining dialogue as the primary platform for resolving such issues.
