Since early this morning, the Assembly of Kosovo has opened its doors for homages in honor of the life and work of Dr. Bujar Bukoshi, the former Prime Minister in exile, who passed away two days ago at the age of 78.

Numerous representatives from institutions, colleagues, family members, and citizens are paying their last respects in the Assembly hall.

Dr. Bujar Bukoshi was a physician, politician, and served as the Prime Minister of the Government of Kosovo in exile. He was a co-founder of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and the Council for the Defense of Human Rights and Freedoms (KMLDNJ). After the war, he continued to serve his country as a Member of Parliament, Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister.

The burial ceremony is expected to be held solemnly at the Martyrs’ Complex cemetery in Velani, where he will be given his final farewell.
