Bulgaria has deployed a new military contingent to the KFOR-West Regional Command in Kosovo. The unit, consisting of 97 soldiers and commanded by Captain Georgi Valkanov, will serve for a six-month period.
The ceremony took place in Pleven and included a religious blessing as well as encouraging words from Bulgarian authorities.
The contingent will be stationed at Camp Villaggio Italia, near Peja, and will carry out various tasks in support of NATO’s peacekeeping mission.
