Following the Supreme Court’s rejection of all appeals against the decisions of the PZAP, Eugen Cakolli from the KDI has called for the Kosovo Central Election Commission (KQZ) to certify the election results no later than tomorrow.
Cakolli emphasized that members of the Government who won a deputy mandate must submit their resignations by today, or at the latest, tomorrow if the KQZ does not hold a meeting today.
“The 30-day deadline for the convening of the Constituent Assembly of the Assembly – which is called by the President of the country – starts from the moment the election results are certified, which, according to Cakolli, is expected to be tomorrow,” he said.
The Supreme Court’s decision to reject the appeals clears the way for the certification of the election results by the KQZ, which is expected to occur soon.
“Once certified, those in the Government who won mandates must resign promptly, ensuring a smooth transition for the new assembly session,” Cakolli added.
