The Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, announced that the capital hosted a special iftar at the Cathedral, bringing together leaders from both the Muslim and Catholic communities in a gesture of unity during the holy month of Ramadan.
In a Facebook post, Mayor Rama shared photos from the iftar event, where he was seen with religious leaders from both faiths. His message, “The capital hosts iftar at the cathedral. Together – Always,” emphasized the spirit of harmony and religious tolerance that defines the people of Kosovo.
The event highlighted the importance of interfaith dialogue and the strong value of religious tolerance that is deeply rooted in Albanian culture. Ramadan, a time of fasting, reflection, and community, served as the perfect occasion for this symbolic gesture, fostering unity and mutual respect between the different religious communities in Kosovo’s capital.
