CEC Accredits an Additional 276 Observers for the December 28 Elections

The Central Election Commission (CEC), at its meeting held on Friday, decided to accredit a third group of 276 observers for monitoring the early elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, scheduled to be held on December 28, 2025.

INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS:

  • Central Election Commission – Albania: 5 observers
  • EU Election Expert Mission: 7 observers

NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS:

  • Syri i Vizionit: 165 observers

LOCAL MEDIA:

  • GračanicaOnline.Info: 4 observers
  • Tëvë1: 34 observers
  • Gazeta Ekskluzive: 2 observers
  • Television T7: 28 observers
  • Syri.net Kosovo / Syri Television: 2 observers
  • Ekonomia Online: 6 observers

INTERNATIONAL MEDIA:

  • Newsmax Balkans: 3 observers
  • Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA): 1 observer

The total number of observers accredited so far stands at 862, representing local non-governmental organizations, international organizations, local and international media, state institutions, and diplomatic missions.

Under another agenda item, the CEC decided to appoint managers of Voting Centers outside Kosovo and authorized staff responsible for retrieving shipments from postal boxes abroad, as well as staff assisting in the electoral process.

The CEC also decided on the appointment of members of the regular Polling Station Councils, conditional polling stations, and reserve members for engagement in the early elections for the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo on December 28.

The electoral process within Kosovo will take place in 948 Voting Centers, with a total of 2,614 polling stations—of which 910 centers with 2,557 polling stations are designated for regular voting, and 38 centers, one in each municipality, with 57 polling stations to enable conditional voting.

Additionally, the CEC decided on the appointment of members of the counting teams in the Municipal Counting Centers for engagement in the early parliamentary elections scheduled for December 28.
