The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that the deadline for submitting applications for the accreditation of observers and media to monitor the early elections for the Assembly of Kosovo—scheduled to be held on 28 December 2025—will close this Saturday, 20 December.

CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi said that the application period, which began on 5 December, will end on 20 December 2025.

“Until this date, certified political entities, NGOs, governmental and intergovernmental organizations, specialized international organizations dealing with elections and the protection of human rights, media outlets, as well as representatives of foreign countries, may submit their requests online for the accreditation of observers,” Elezi announced.

According to him, accreditation enables observers to closely follow the activities of the Central Election Commission, not only on election day.

“Only observers accredited by the Central Election Commission will be able to observe the preparatory process, the conduct of elections, and other activities that will take place in the 38 Municipal Counting Centers (MCCs) and the Counting and Results Center (CRC),” Elezi said.

So far, the CEC has accredited 586 observers, representing: local non-governmental organizations, international organizations, local and international media, state institutions, and diplomatic missions.

How to apply?

Step 1:
The authorized representative (of an NGO, governmental/intergovernmental organization, international organization specialized in elections and human rights, media outlet, or foreign country representative) must complete the required information online via the platform:
https://apliko.kqz-ks.org

Step 2:
After submission, the Office for Registration, Certification and Financial Control of Political Entities (ORCFCPE) will review and approve or reject the initial application. Once verified, the ORCFCPE will send login credentials via email to the authorized representative, enabling them to access the online platform and upload details of the organization’s or media outlet’s observers seeking accreditation.
