The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that preparations for the October 12 local elections are ongoing through an information campaign in various municipalities across the country.

According to a statement issued to the media, the municipal election commissions in Gjakova, South Mitrovica, and Junik have organized informational sessions with representatives of political parties.

“During these meetings, key issues of the electoral process were discussed, including: voter registration for persons with special needs, voting from abroad, as well as voting procedures and methods. The nominations and composition of election management bodies (Polling Station Councils, Conditional Voting Centers, voting for persons with special needs, and Municipal Counting Centers), as well as the election campaign, were also addressed,” the statement said.

The CEC also emphasized that participants were thoroughly informed about all phases of the electoral process and were encouraged to share this information within their communities, aiming to increase civic awareness and preparedness for election day.
