The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kosovo is set to convene today at 13:30 to review key issues related to the organization of the upcoming local elections scheduled for October 12, 2025.
One of the primary items on the agenda is the report on the reassessment and redistribution of the approved CEC budget for the year 2025, specifically designated for the conduct of local elections. The Commission will evaluate whether budgetary adjustments are needed to meet operational and logistical requirements.
Additionally, the CEC will examine and is expected to approve the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for compiling the voters’ list, a critical step in ensuring transparency, accuracy, and inclusiveness in the electoral process.
With less than three months remaining until election day, today’s session is considered important for setting the groundwork for a well-prepared and credible electoral process.
